Student Learning Outcomes
For my capstone class in my Library and Information Studies graduate program, we were asked to write about 8 Student Learning Outcomes that we found and fulfilled during our time in the program. This website is a testament to all that I have learned while I have been in the LIS program, and how to use the skills and knowledge that I have gained and apply it to my chosen field, as well as to other aspects of my life. It has been an incredible journey, and I can only hope that what I bring to my chosen field is just as rich as what I have taken from the program.

Fast forward 10 years into the future...

I have chosen to keep this part of my website active, as the Student Learning Outcomes that I had chosen back in 2014 are still very relevant and at the heart of my personal goals and philosophy today in 2024. Though my career as a librarian has gone through several changes, these outcomes remain just as relevant as they were then, and for some even more so. Biometrics is more and more becoming integrated into our daily life - fingerprint recognition is now then norm when accessing our smartphones and computers instead of manually putting in our passwords. We can purchase goods and services with the press of a finger. And this is just one example - all of these outcomes are still vital to me as a librarian and a human out in the world; they remind me that there is never a time when I will stop learning, or engaging in the pursuit of knowledge.

Maybe one day I'll catch up.
